The article also features our MAR pilot site in the Hallertau region as an example of how treated rainwater can be stored in the subsurface and made available for future use.
The pilot site demonstrates the potential of Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) to strengthen water resilience by retaining water locally, reducing pressure on groundwater resources, and supporting adaptation to both droughts and extreme rainfall events.
